Comprehensive security

Leader in Spain and Europe in comprehensive vehicle safety

Cidaut is the undisputed leader in Spain and Europe in the field of comprehensive vehicle safety. We have engineering, calculation departments and our own testing laboratories for the development of security systems based on regulatory, consumer or internal client requirements, to which we respond to any need or problem they present.

We work on the design and development of new solutions in vehicles and systems that reduce the consequences of accidents for occupants and road users according to standards of the European Union, United Nations, USA, China and India (EU, UN , FMVSS, GB, IS) as well as consumers (NCAP and IIHS).

Our technical teams multidisciplinary They work closely with the client, comprehensively addressing all phases of the functional development of the vehicle and providing solutions in the design, development, optimization and validation of the various components, absorption structures and systems retention, ensuring its proper integration into the vehicle to reduce the risk of damage to the occupant in the different types of collision.

  • Study and simulation of the constellation of crash scenarios according to different regulations and markets.
  • Development of bodywork and moving elements against crashes.
  • Design and optimization of occupant restraint systems and cabin interiors.
  • Definition and execution of validation plans for the development of systems and components and final validation in full vehicle crash.
  • Advanced studies and research on occupant retention and protection systems.

All activities necessary for the development of passive safety (Engineering, calculation and testing) are carried out in a single development center allowing a high degree of coordination between the different teams, suppliers and clients involved, thus ensuring efficient planning and execution of projects.

Cidaut technological capabilities - Comprehensive security - Active protection

We have extensive experience in definition of automobile components within the discipline that seeks to avoid accidents. We use the most advanced software, supported by our testing laboratories.

We investigate the incorporation of advanced communication devices in all types of vehicles so that they can receive information and, consequently, make the best decisions while driving.

Cidaut technological capabilities - Comprehensive security - Infrastructure containment systems

We investigate the risks associated with special or erroneous installation conditions of containment systems: short sections, influence of the terminals, inconsistency of the terrain, proximity of ditches, intersections, bad practices, geometry of the shoulder, etc...

We define the analysis and testing criteria that allow for an objective evaluation of the elements that make up the infrastructure and we actively participate in the main working groups and national and international regulatory committees.
