For the third consecutive year Cidaut participated in the Valladolid Hybrid and Electric Car Exhibition (SAHE), which was held on 26, 27 and 28 April. Under the slogan “CIDAUT, driver of innovation”, the latest achievements in the field of new mobility were presented. In addition, the event featured a conference by Mr. Javier Romo on “hybrid and electric vehicles: technology, cost of use and emissions”, which attracted considerable attention from the audience. In the conference, Mr. Javier Romo reflected on the advantages and disadvantages of zero-emission vehicles and highlighted the innovation projects that had made the results shown possible.
One of the highlights, however, was the presentation of two prototypes partially powered by solar energy bicycles adapted for parcel delivery. The attendees were able to experience the features and performance offered by these vehicles in the “Test Drive” test area. During the tests, the users were able to evaluate the maneuverability of the vehicles as well as their acceleration and stability. They were also able to check the comfort while driving thanks to their innovative structure and suspension system.
In parallel, CIDAUT took advantage of the exhibition to give visibility to its advances in the field of passive safety and in particular to one of its most peculiar activities: crash tests. The attendees were able to see the results obtained in two impact tests on the structure of an electric prototype vehicle. In addition, the devices used to assess the damage on the human body were shown. In particular, the articulated dummy with which the effects of one of the impacts shown were evaluated was exhibited at the event. This technology and its operation caused great interest from the public, highlighting the audience's concern about the safety of electric vehicles.
