Technology ServicesElectric, Automatic and Electronic Systems

Thanks to a multidisciplinary team made up of engineers, physics, mathematicians and technicians, our experience, and the close coordination with our clients, we cover the entire value chain for the development of new electronic systems, equipment, or process automation, from the moment the need or the idea of what the client wants arises until its pre-industrialisation.
By means of simulation and prototyping we can provide great added value to our clients.
We are very experienced in projects dealing with electronics, artificial vision, custom-made test benches, process automation, and robotics.

Electronic, simulation and prototyping

We carry out the electronic design, simulation, PCB design, and prototyping, as well as the required electrical and mechanical tests, for PCB validation.

In addition, we have the following capabilities:

  • Development of measurement and control systems as per client specifications.
  • Tailored sensor conditioning.
  • Microprocessor programming.
  • CAN protocol.
  • Control software and algorithms.
  • Equipment validation.

Process automation

By closely working with our clients, we can automate their industrial processes from a three-fold standpoint: improvement of operator safety; production increase; and improvement of end-product quality.

We provide turnkey solutions. We analyse each client's needs, evaluate the solutions by means of simulation, and carry out the project with our own means, including not only all types of industrial automatisms but also robotics, artificial vision (2D and 3D), SCADA software, and process sensoring.

Our continuous commitment to R&D finds expression in our membership in the Spanish Robotics Technology Platform (Hisparob), from where we actively take part in the development of new fields of application of robotics.

  • Simulation
  • Robotics
  • Process control
  • Advanced diagnostics
  • Production increase
  • Cost reduction
  • Process repeatability
  • Work accident reduction
  • Analysis tools
  • Quality increase and control

Computer vision and artificial vision

We develop artificial vision applications aimed at process industrialisation and automation. In order to do so, we have equipment and tools that enable us to make simulations and prototypes of very different sorts to meet our clients’ needs.

As regards computer vision, we design algorithms and develop software programming. Additionally, we carry out image processing in either the visible or other spectral ranges (UV, infrared, etc.).

We develop custom-made applications in the following disciplines:

  • Algorithms and programming
  • Image processing
  • Pattern tracking
  • Object identification
  • Image correction: geometric distortion, aberration caused by the lenses
  • Calibration:
    • Flat field
    • Intrinsic camera parameters

Optics and photometry

We have a lab for optical and photometric parameter measurement, as well as equipment for camera and lens calibration, where we characterise and correct possible aberrations.

Among the measurement capabilities in photometry we cover:

  • Luminance
  • Colorimetry
  • Retroreflection
  • Iluminance
  • Luminous flux
  • Luminous power of sources
  • Reflection spectrum of materials
  • Spectral emissivity
  • Contrast measurement
  • Iluminant and photometric sensor calibration

System integration

We integrate electronic products and prototypes in very different fields:
  • Vehicles
  • Trains
  • Industrial machines

This integration always happens by taking the following criteria into consideration:

  • Safety
  • Functionality
  • Integration (structure)
  • Ergonomics
  • Comfort

Experience

Below are some examples of the developments on which we have worked:

  • Intelligent fuse
  • Automatic production system for high-speed trains
  • Electromechanical actuator for automobiles
  • Diagnostic equipment
  • Test bench with laser technology
  • OCR-special lighting
  • Horn test bench
  • UGV (Unmanned Ground Vehicle)
  • Geometry identification
  • Onboard control equipment for restraint systems
  • LIDAR detection systems
  • Embedded vision system development
