Over the summer, CIDAUT actively took part in two major events that brought together international stakeholders from the hydrogen and renewable fuels sectors: the Gasnam-Neutral Transport Congress and the H2FC Summer School organized by the University of Porto. Both initiatives reinforced CIDAUT’s commitment to innovation, collaboration, and the promotion of sustainable energy solutions. Participation in these two summer events reflects CIDAUT’s continuous engagement with the hydrogen community and its mission to bridge research excellence with industrial application.
Gasnam-Neutral Transport Congress
25th June, CIDAUT attended the Gasnam-Neutral Transport Congress, one of the leading forums in Southern Europe for sustainable mobility and renewable gases. The event gathered industry leaders, technology developers, and policymakers to discuss the challenges and opportunities surrounding the decarbonization of transport through renewable hydrogen, biomethane, and synthetic fuels.
CIDAUT was represented by José Ignacio Domínguez, member of Gasnam’s Board of Directors as an institutional partner and representative of research and knowledge centers. His participation underscores CIDAUT’s long-standing collaboration with Gasnam in promoting technological innovation and research-driven approaches to accelerate the deployment of renewable gases in the energy and transport sectors.
This presence not only allowed CIDAUT to stay at the forefront of discussions on regulatory frameworks, industrial integration, and technology scale-up but also to strengthen connections with key actors involved in the energy transition.

H2FC Summer School – University of Porto
The same day, CIDAUT took part in the Hydrogen and Fuel Cell (H2FC) Summer School, organized by the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Porto (FEUP). This international program gathered young researchers, academics, and professionals to exchange knowledge on cutting-edge hydrogen and fuel cell technologies.
During the event, CIDAUT presented the AIHRE project, which focuses on advanced integration of hydrogen production and renewable energy systems. The presentation showcased CIDAUT’s research expertise in hydrogen production technologies, system modelling, and innovation pathways for industrial scalability.
The session sparked valuable discussions with participants from universities, R&D centers, and companies across Europe, reinforcing the importance of collaborative research and knowledge exchange.
